WCG (formerly Watson CPA Group) is excited to announce Candace Avis, CPA, EA as one of our new Tax Managers. She will join the team approximately August 6, 2018.

Candace is a Colorado CPA and operated Avis Accounting & Income Tax Professionals from 1995 until recently. At Avis, she provided business consultation, financial statement preparation and tax preparation of business tax returns and complex individual tax returns. Candace is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

She is involved with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) where she instructs on choosing appropriate legal entities and structures to business owners. She also is the Treasurer for the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce.

Candace graduated from Colorado State University in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.

She is excited about jumping in and getting to know the current WCG (formerly Watson CPA Group) clients, in addition to helping prospective clients with their business consultation needs. Specifically she wants to assist small business owners in the value of the S corporation election, new tax changes with TCJA especially Section 199A qualified business income deduction and entity structures. Candace owned and operated her own firm, but she is looking forward to working within a team of other Certified Public Accountants and business consultants. She believes that being able to easily bounce ideas off others, have the support and backing of team members, and continue her professional development is a valuable work environment.
